Bieszczady in winter is a paradise for those seeking authentic contact with nature. Unlike popular ski resorts, you won't find crowds or queues here. Instead – vast, white spaces, frosty air and the feeling that you have these mountains all to yourself.
Jacuzzi under the stars – a winter dream
One of the greatest attractions of a winter stay in our barns is the opportunity to bathe in the jacuzzi under the open sky. Imagine: submerged up to your neck in hot water, you watch as snow gently falls around you, while above your head stretches the boundless, starry sky of Bieszczady.

The Bieszczady sky in winter is among the darkest in Poland – far from city lights, the Milky Way is visible here with the naked eye. Astronomers and night photography enthusiasts come here specifically to capture this view.
Sauna and fireplace – the warming ritual
After a full day of walks on snowy trails, nothing replaces an evening by the fireplace. Our barns are equipped with traditional wood stoves and fireplaces that create an incomparable atmosphere. Wood crackles, fire dances, and outside the window snow swirls – it's a fairy-tale setting.
Winter trails – for the brave
The Bieszczady National Park in winter offers a completely different experience than in summer. The trails are less frequented, and the views – especially from Tarnica or Połonina Wetlińska – are breathtaking. It's worth remembering proper preparation:
- Solid trekking boots with membrane or crampons
- Warm, layered clothing (onion principle)
- Trekking poles – essential on icy trails
- Thermos with hot tea or coffee
- Charged phone and powerbank
When to go?
The most beautiful snow in Bieszczady usually appears between December and March. January and February are the months when the snow cover is thickest and most stable. It's worth checking the weather forecast before departure – Bieszczady weather can be capricious.
